The Black Canadian AI Society (BCAIS) is a national, member-driven organization dedicated to building a thriving ecosystem of Black excellence in Artificial Intelligence across Canada and beyond.

To build a national and globally connected ecosystem that advances representation, innovation, leadership, and societal impact in Artificial Intelligence, while fostering strategic partnerships across the globe.

Our Foundation

BCAIS is incorporated as a non-profit, non-share capital corporation under the Ontario Not-for-Profit Corporations Act (ONCA). We operate as a national, member-based, non-partisan organization with the authority to collaborate and expand globally.

Our motto — “Reach Back, Learn, and Build the Future” — reflects our commitment to honoring the past, investing in the present, and shaping an inclusive technological future.
